Finance LAB is designed to provide you with the tools you need to achieve financial health and to set appropriate short and long term goals for yourself. Whether you are an independent contractor, small business owner or an employee in a corporate setting, you will leave this LAB with useful tools pertaining to your unique pursuit of financial health. Discussing finances is a personal topic, you will have have the opportunity to meet with Whitney one-on-one to discuss any specific questions you have about your finances.
DURING THIS WORKSHOP, YOU WILL LEARN:
- How much money should you keep in your Emergency Fund?
- What purpose does each account type serve (Checking, Savings, IRA, Roth IRA, SIMPLE, SEP, 401k, etc.) and how to save most effectively
- Risk tolerance – what is yours and what does that mean?
- What is your investment personality?
- Why is budgeting important and how does it pertain to your financial plan?
You will leave this workshop with a customized plan in place and action steps you can implement immediately to achieve financial health.

Whitney follows a holistic approach to investing and wealth management, taking into consideration the many moving parts that can impact each client’s financial picture. Whitney has the ability to listen carefully and analyze each client’s unique financial situation, preferences, time horizon, liquidity needs, risk tolerance and goals to help create personalized strategies. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2010, Whitney worked in the private banking division of a major investment banking firm in New York City. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.Whitney is a graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies with a concentration in economics. As an active alumna of the Athletics program, she continues to serve on the Columbia Athletics Committee. Whitney is actively involved in the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce as co-chair of the Wayzata Women in Business Committee. Whitney is also an active member of the Junior League of Minneapolis and a member of The Circle of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
