The Collective 2019
Spring revealed itself on the Saturday morning of The Collective 2019. LAB brought together a community of curated creatives and entrepreneurs in the Twin Cities, where local businesses, craft, and talent were the focal point. We were overjoyed to host over 40+ vendors at this annual modern marketplace that our team looks forward to every year - where we strive to embrace our mission to connect, create and collaborate.
Excitement was brewing as vendors set up their unique displays and exclusive pop-up shops overflowing with local craft and handmade goods. Early Bird ticket holders were anxious to start their shopping before doors opened to the public, and a line formed out the door at The Loring Social. Meanwhile, guests were dazzled by Ma Jolie’s flower cart where build your own bouquets gave us our wanna-be-florist fix. Once inside, guests were greeted by a buzz of conversation and connection, while artwork, vintage pieces, hand-crafted jewelry and other treasures filled the space. The stimulation set in, and our hearts were bursting at the seams.
Ooo’s and ahh’s were heard as guests strolled through the aisles. The showcased talent and creativity was endless - each vendor brought something unique to the space as they ignited guests with joy and creativity. Scents of freshly poured wax from True Hue, Duluth Candle Co, and Wacks Co filled the air. Conversation of sustainable fashion sparked from Winsome Goods. We were reminded of the beauty that stems from recycled goods thanks to those who have an eye for curating vintage pieces such as Arlee Park and House of Verna.
Connections were forming as we truly indulged in a community of makers coming together to share passion. The powerful movement of shifting back to shopping small and buying with intention was evident. Each person in attendance was subtly contributing, listening humbly to the meaning behind the products and the stories behind the makers.

A perennial favorite aspect of The Collective – Speaker Sessions. Every year, guests have the opportunity to head up to the LAB space and gain insight and access to the amazing community of innovators and creatives with thoughtful conversation.

GIVING, COLLABORATION & HARD WORK WHEN BUILDING A CREATIVE EMPIRE
Mercedes - Founder of Mercury Mosaics spoke about how giving and collaboration can have an impact on your business. As an incredible business woman she encouraged everyone to not cut corners and make the hard work fun.
Guests were able to take a little of LAB home with them. With leather key chains, aromatherapy sprays and smudge building, everyone was able to get their DIY on and walk away with goodies that they were able to make themselves. Cheers to everyone who took on a little project and experienced a Mini LAB!
